Official Camping with Sasquatch Rules
Camping with Sasquatch is a lighthearted card game that combines elements of Rummy with a dash of surprise and silliness. Here's a breakdown of the rules to get you ready for your next camping adventure:
Objective
The goal of the game is to collect the most sets of cards and avoid getting squatched by the Sasquatch card.
Setup
1. Shuffle the Deck: Thoroughly shuffle the deck of Camping with Sasquatch cards.
2. Deal the Cards: Deal a specific number of cards to each player depending on the number of players (refer to the rulebook for details). The remaining deck is placed face down in the center of the playing area as the draw pile.
3. Discard Pile: Place a discard pile next to the draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is flipped face up and placed next to the discard pile to start the discard pile.
Gameplay
The game is played in rounds, with players taking turns in clockwise order. Here's what happens on your turn:
Draw a Card: Take the top card from the draw pile and add it to your hand.
Play Sets or Runs (Optional): You can choose to play sets of three cards with the same picture (e.g., three tents) or runs of three consecutive numbered cards of the same color (e.g., binoculars 1, 2, 3). If you play a set or run, discard those cards to the discard pile.
Discard a Card: You must discard one card from your hand to the discard pile at the end of your turn, even if you didn't play any sets or runs.
The Wild Sasquatch:
This is where the game gets interesting! The deck includes Sasquatch cards. These furry friends act as wild cards:
Playing a Sasquatch: You can play a Sasquatch card on its own to the discard pile, but with a twist! When you do this, you must yell out "Sasquatch (color of the card)!" (e.g., "Sasquatch Blue!").
Matching the Shout: All other players must then immediately discard a card of the same color (suit) as the shouted Sasquatch card to the discard pile. If they can't, they draw two cards from the draw pile!
Winning the Game
The first player to get rid of all their cards in their hand wins the game and becomes the ultimate camping champion (without encountering a grumpy Sasquatch, hopefully!).

Fast-Paced Fun: Camping with Sasquatch is a quick and engaging game perfect for family game nights or casual gatherings.
Shouting and Slapping (Optional): Some variations of the game allow players to "slap" the discard pile with a matching card instead of simply discarding it when responding to a Sasquatch shout. This can add a layer of excitement and reflexes to the gameplay.
Multiple Decks (Optional): If playing with multiple decks, be sure to remove any duplicate starting cards (top card of the deck) to avoid confusion.
