Official Organ Attack Rules
Organ Attack! is a fun, lighthearted card game where you battle your opponents by attacking their organs. Here's a breakdown of the rules to help you become the champion organ defender:
Objective
The goal of the game is to be the last player with at least one organ card remaining in your hand.
Setup
1. Deal Organs: Deal a set number of Organ cards face down to each player (usually 4-5). These represent your vital organs you need to protect. Place them face down in front of you or on your player board (if using).
2. Shuffle Attack Decks: Shuffle both the Attack deck and the Immunity Boost deck (if using) separately. Place them face down in the center of the playing area as draw piles.
3. Starting Hand: Deal a set number of Attack cards face down to each player (usually 5). These are your weapons to attack your opponents' organs.
Gameplay
The game is played in rounds, with players taking turns in clockwise order. On your turn, you can take one of two actions:
Play an Attack Card:
Choose one Attack card from your hand and reveal it.
The attack card will target a specific organ (e.g., "Walking Pneumonia" targets Lungs) or might be a "Remove" card that can eliminate any specific organ.
Play the Attack card on the discard pile.
Play an Immunity Boost Card (Optional):
If you have an Immunity Boost card in your hand, you can discard it to negate the effect of an Attack card played on you during this round (yours or another player's turn).
Resolving Attacks:
When an Attack card is played targeting one of your organs (that is still face down), place the Attack card face up on top of the corresponding Organ card.
An organ can be afflicted with multiple Attack cards.
Winning an Organ:
An organ is considered "out of commission" when it has two Attack cards placed on it (excluding "Necrosis" cards, which count as two attacks on their own).
Once an organ is defeated, discard both the Organ card and the Attack cards on top of it.
The attacking player takes the defeated Organ card and adds it to their own collection (as a trophy!).
Winning the Game
The first player to have all of their opponents' organs defeated wins the game and is crowned the organ defense champion!
Notes/Variations
Optional Rules: Some versions include a Wild Organ card that can be played as any organ and a "Necrosis" card that instantly removes an organ.
Discard and Draw: After taking your action (playing an Attack card or Immunity Boost card), discard any played cards and draw back up to your hand limit (usually 5) from the Attack deck.
House Rules: Feel free to create your own house rules to add more variety or difficulty to the game.
Organ Attack! offers a lighthearted and strategic experience perfect for a quick and fun game night with friends and family. So, grab your cards, defend your organs, and be the last player standing (or rather, sitting) with healthy organs!
