1. Apocalypse: This close-quarter balanced map is sure to see immediate action with many desirable settlement opportunities and resource grabs available. The harbors located along the coastline offer more dynamic gameplay and introduce new strategies!

2. Arctic Mist: One of my personal favorites, this unique map is very dynamic as the squares in the middle are shrouded in “mist”. When a player builds a ship or settlement touching one of these squares, a random tile and number chip are placed.

3. Another Catan: A classic two island setup that allows players to go for different strategies. One rule that can spice it up (if you are playing with 2 people) is make one island only reachable by boat (i.e. you can’t place a starting settlemant on it).

4. Andalusia: An archipelago-style map that offers many starting possibilities. Typically a slower game as people try to reach the lucrative islands just off the coast.

5. Across the Wasteland: This map is desert focused with 4 small (but enticing!) islands nearby. Players have two options, cross the desert or set sail!
