Official UNO All Wild Rules

UNO All Wild is a variant of the classic UNO game where every card is a Wild card, adding a new level of excitement and unpredictability to the game. Here are the rules for playing UNO All Wild:

Objective

The objective of UNO All Wild is to be the first player to score 500 points. Points are scored by being the first to play all of your cards in each round and accumulating points from the cards remaining in your opponents' hands.

Setup

  1. Shuffle: Shuffle the deck thoroughly.

  2. Deal: Deal 7 cards to each player. Place the rest of the deck face down to form the draw pile.

  3. Top Card: Turn over the top card of the draw pile to start the discard pile.

Card Types

  • Wild: Can be played on any card and allows the player to choose the next color.

  • Wild Draw Two: The next player draws two cards and loses their turn. The player who played the card chooses the next color.

  • Wild Draw Four: The next player draws four cards and loses their turn. The player who played the card chooses the next color.

  • Wild Skip: Skips the next player's turn. The player who played the card chooses the next color.

  • Wild Reverse: Reverses the direction of play. The player who played the card chooses the next color.

  • Wild Swap Hands: The player who plays this card must swap their entire hand with another player of their choice. The player who played the card chooses the next color.

Gameplay

  1. Starting Play: The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.

  2. Playing Cards:

    • Every card is a Wild card, so players can play any card from their hand on their turn.

    • When a card is played, the player must declare the next color.

    • Special Wild cards (Draw Two, Draw Four, Skip, Reverse, Swap Hands) perform their respective actions.

  3. Drawing Cards:

    • If a player cannot play a card or chooses not to play, they must draw one card from the draw pile. If they can play the drawn card, they may do so immediately; otherwise, they keep it, and play moves to the next player.

  4. Calling UNO: When you have one card left, you must shout "UNO." If another player catches you not saying "UNO" before your next turn, you must draw two cards as a penalty.

Ending the Round

  • When a player has no cards left, the round ends. Points are scored based on the cards left in the opponents' hands.

Scoring

  • Points are calculated from the cards left in your opponents' hands:

    • Wild: 20 points each.

    • Wild Draw Two: 50 points each.

    • Wild Draw Four: 50 points each.

    • Wild Skip: 50 points each.

    • Wild Reverse: 50 points each.

    • Wild Swap Hands: 50 points each.

Winning the Game

The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.

Notes/Variations

  • Short Game: Play to a lower point total, such as 200 or 300 points, for a quicker game.

  • House Rules: Add custom rules or variations to increase the fun.

  • Use Special Cards Wisely: Play Wild Draw Two, Wild Draw Four, Wild Skip, and Wild Reverse strategically to disrupt your opponents' plans.

  • Swap Hands Carefully: Choose the best moment to swap hands to either gain an advantage or hinder an opponent.

  • UNO Call: Always remember to call "UNO" when down to one card to avoid penalties.
