How to Play Danger Noodle

Goal of the Game

In Danger Noodle, your objective is to be the first player to collect Animal Cards that total exactly 30 points. Not more, not less. But beware—drawing a Danger Noodle! card can wipe out your progress in an instant.

Game Concept

Most people avoid snakes in real life—Danger Noodle turns that into a game! Every time you draw from the deck, you’re hoping for high-value animals but dreading the dreaded Danger Noodle! card. If you draw one, your entire hand is lost. Reach exactly 30 points to win—but hit 31, and you’ll have to keep trying.

Setup

1. Shuffle the full deck of 100 cards.
2. Place the deck face down in the center of the table.
3. Leave space next to the draw pile for a discard pile.
4. Decide who goes first—the oldest player starts.

How to Play

• All players keep their hands visible by playing their cards face up on the table.
• On your turn, draw cards one at a time from the deck.
• You may stop drawing at any time, or you must stop if:
  • You draw a Danger Noodle! card
  • You draw a Negative Value card

Here’s what happens during specific draws:

Positive Value Cards

These add points to your total. Keep drawing to try to hit 30.

Negative Value Cards

These subtract points from your hand. When drawn, your turn ends.

Danger Noodle! Card

If you draw this card, immediately discard all the cards in your hand. Your turn ends right away.

Special Cards

These can introduce helpful or harmful effects to your game or others’. When drawn, read them aloud and perform the action immediately. Then you may continue drawing.

Anti-Venom Card (Super Special Card)

This rare card protects you from three future Danger Noodle! cards. When drawn, announce it and keep it visible.

• After you choose to stop drawing or are forced to stop, your turn ends.
• Play continues clockwise around the table.

Winning the Game

The first player to have exactly 30 total points in front of them wins. If no one has reached that score, play continues.
