- Parents’ cards go face down in front of the Kids.
- Each team decides the order of players. Every family member must answer for themselves — no team discussions allowed.
- Assign a player to keep score.
Rounds of the Game
The game consists of six total rounds:
- 4 Face-Off Rounds (2 for Kids, 2 for Parents)
- 2 Fast Money Bonus Rounds (1 for each team)
Face-Off Rounds
Round 1
The Parents’ team asks the first Kids’ Face-Off question and announces how many top answers there are.
- The first kid gives their response.
- If it’s one of the top answers, record it on the Face-Off Scorepad and award the points.
- If it’s an incorrect answer, place an “X” in one of the Strike Boxes.
Play continues until:
- All answers are revealed, or
- The team receives three strikes (wrong answers).
Then, the Kids total their points. Next, the Kids select a Parents’ Face-Off card and the roles switch.
Round 2 (Double Points)
Same as Round 1, but points for each correct answer are doubled before being added to the scorepad.
Fast Money Bonus Rounds (Triple Points)
At the end of the Face-Off rounds, both teams play one Fast Money round for bonus points.
- The team with the highest total score so far chooses who goes first.
- The opposing team reads the Fast Money questions one by one.
- Each player must quickly give their answer without consulting teammates.
- If the answer isn’t on the list, the reader says “Try again,” and the player gets one more chance.
- After all five questions, points are added up.
Once both teams have completed their Fast Money round, compare totals. The team with the most points wins!
Scoring
- Record all answers and corresponding point values on the Face-Off Scorepad.
- Record strikes for wrong or missing answers.
- Double the points in Round 2 and triple them in the Fast Money Round.
- Add everything up to find the total score for each team.
