How to Play Monopoly Buy Everything

Contents

  • 1 Rotating Sale Vault with Base
  • 1 Buy Die with Stickers
  • 20 Sale Cards
  • 8 New Title Deeds
  • 4 Reminder Cards

(Classic Monopoly game required to play.)

Setup

  1. Prepare the Buy Die: Apply the included stickers to each side of the blank die to create the Buy Die.
  2. Set Up Classic Monopoly: Assemble the board and assign a Banker as usual.
  3. Distribute Starting Cash: Each player begins with $2,150:
    • 5 × $1
    • 5 × $5
    • 3 × $10
    • 3 × $20
    • 4 × $100
    • 3 × $500
  4. Place the Sale Vault: Insert the Vault into its base and set it in the center of the board.
  5. Shuffle the Sale Cards: Place three face-up in the Vault (so everyone can read them) and the rest face-down beside it.
  6. Combine the Title Deeds: Mix the new Title Deeds with those from the classic Monopoly set.
  7. Give Each Player a Reminder Card.

The Sale Vault is a gray and yellow plastic tray placed on the blue game board. Three Sale cards are displayed upright in the yellow rotating section, with one card, 'DEED-GRABBER,' clearly visible. A small white and yellow six-sided 'Buy Die' and a stack of face-down Sale cards are visible in a compartment to the right.

Objective

There are two ways to win in Monopoly: Buy Everything:

  • Complete an Instant-Win Sale card. The game ends immediately, and you win!
  • Or, when all properties are owned, the richest player (cash + properties + rent value) wins the game.

How to Play

The game proceeds in turns, just like traditional Monopoly.

  1. Determine Who Goes First: Each player rolls the numbered dice. The highest roller starts, and play moves clockwise.
  2. Take Your Turn:
    • Roll the numbered dice and move your token clockwise.
    • Follow the space’s instructions, as usual.
    • If you land on a new buyable space—such as GO, Jail, Free Parking, or even Income Tax—you can now purchase it!
  3. Buy the Space:
    • Pay the listed cost on the new Title Deed to the Bank.
    • If you decline, the Banker must auction it to the highest bidder.
  4. Roll the Buy Die: After moving, you may roll the Buy Die to perform one optional action (see below).
  5. End Your Turn: Pass the dice to the next player.

The Buy Die

After your movement roll, you can roll the Buy Die. All Buy Die actions are optional—but they often give you an edge!

  • Buy a Sale Card: Purchase one Sale card from the Sale Vault.
  • Force a Discard: Choose a player and make them discard one of their Sale cards. You select which one! Negotiations are allowed.
  • Refresh the Vault: Discard one of the displayed Sale cards and replace it with the top card from the Sale card deck.

If you buy a Sale card, you can’t use it until the start of your next turn.

In the foreground, a white 'Buy Die' with green and yellow symbols is visible; one face shows a hand holding money, and another shows a circular arrow. To the left, a portion of the gray and yellow plastic 'Sale Vault' is visible. In the background, part of the red 'MONOPOLY' logo on the game board is seen, and a hand is extended over the light green playing surface.

Sale Cards Explained

You may hold up to three Sale cards at a time. If you wish to buy another, you must discard one first.

Types of Sale Cards:

  • Single-Use: Play these anytime during your turn. Discard after use.
  • Abilities: Ongoing effects that remain active as long as you keep the card.
  • Instant-Win: Complete the card’s condition to win the game immediately!

Three 'Sale' cards from the Monopoly 'Buy Everything' expansion are fanned out against a teal background. The center card, titled 'CLEAN SWEEP,' is green and states: 'If you own any eight Title Deeds, you win the game immediately.' The card on the left is red and green, titled 'ALL THE 50s,' and appears to give the player a cash bonus. The card on the right is yellow, titled 'THE NUMBER 7,' and appears to grant the player a permanent movement ability related to rolling a 7.

Buying New Spaces

In this expansion, even classic board spaces like GO, Free Parking, Chance, Community Chest, Income Tax, Luxury Tax, and Jail can be bought!

  • Pay the price shown on the new Title Deed to the Bank.
  • The Title Deed works just like any standard property: it earns rent when landed on.
  • These new properties cannot be mortgaged, but may be sold or traded like any other.

The card, with a yellow border, is for the 'LUXURY TAX' space, showing a purchase price of M200 and rent values of M100 and M200 (if both tax spaces are owned). On the blue game board in the background, a silver car token sits on the Luxury Tax space, and the white and yellow 'Buy Die' is visible in the foreground.

The End of the Game

The game ends when:

  1. A player completes an Instant-Win Sale card (that player wins immediately), or
  2. All properties, including new buyable spaces, are owned.

At that point, everyone totals their:

  • Property value
  • Rent value (as shown on the Title Deeds)
  • Cash on hand

The richest player wins!

A family of four (two adults and two children) is gathered around a table, actively playing the Monopoly 'Buy Everything' expansion. The game board, which is light green and features the large red 'MONOPOLY' logo, is visible in the center. The rotating gray and yellow 'Sale Vault' sits on the board, displaying several upright Sale cards. Various Title Deeds and Monopoly money are scattered around the board, and the player on the right is holding several bills. The two children in the foreground are reaching toward the game board.

Conclusion

The Monopoly: Buy Everything Expansion takes the familiar game of Monopoly and adds a thrilling new layer of strategy, competition, and risk-taking. Whether you’re seizing Free Parking, collecting powerful Sale cards, or racing for an instant win, this version turns every space into an opportunity. Buy it all—if you can afford it!
