How to Play Scrabble Slam!

Objective

The goal of Scrabble Slam! is to be the first player to play all your letter cards by changing the current four-letter word into new words.

Game Components

• 55 Letter Cards
• Instructions

Setup

1. Choose a four-letter starting word (e.g., “GAME” or “WORD”).
2. Arrange the four starting letters face-up in the center of the play area.
3. Shuffle the remaining letter cards and deal them evenly among all players.
4. Each player holds their cards in hand, ready to play.

Gameplay

1. Simultaneous Play – There are no turns! Players race to change the current word by playing letter cards from their hand.
2. Changing the Word – A player may replace one letter in the four-letter word with a letter from their hand, as long as the new word is valid.
   • Example: If the word is GAME, a player can play a T over M, creating GATE.
3. Calling Out the Word – When a player slams down a new letter, they must say the new word aloud before another player changes it.
4. No Proper Nouns or Nonsense Words – Words must be real, standard words found in a dictionary.
5. No Reusing Words – Players cannot change the word back to a previously played word.
6. Wild Cards – Some sets contain blank wild cards that can be used as any letter.

Winning the Game

• The first player to play all their cards wins the game!
• If no player can make a legal move and cards remain, the player with the fewest cards left wins.
