How to Play Wonky Doodles
Objective
The goal is to guess the word or phrase your teammate is drawing before time runs out. The challenge comes from the “Wonky Doodler” device that makes drawing difficult and unpredictable, adding fun and laughter to the game.
Components
- Wonky Doodler drawing device (with an unstable or wobbly pen movement)
- 150 Word Cards with various words or phrases
- Whiteboard for drawing
- Timer
Setup
- Place the whiteboard and Wonky Doodler within easy reach of all players.
- Shuffle the 150 Word Cards and place them face down as a draw pile.
- Decide the drawing order — teams or individual players take turns being the “artist.”
- Prepare the sand timer (teams with have 30 seconds to play).
Gameplay
- Draw a Word Card: On your turn, draw a Word Card from the pile without showing it to others. Flip the sand timer and begin!
- Start Drawing: Using the Wonky Doodler, try to draw the word or phrase on the whiteboard. The Wonky Doodler’s unstable movement makes drawing tricky and funny.
- Guessing: Your teammates try to guess the word based on your drawing before time runs out.
- Scoring: If the team guesses correctly within the time limit, they score a point. If not, no points are awarded and the opposing team has the opportunity to guess and score a point.
- Rotate Turns: The next team or player becomes the artist, and gameplay continues until all cards are used or until a set number of rounds is completed.

Winning the Game
The team or player with the most points after all rounds wins the game.
Tips for Playing
- Focus on simple shapes and clear outlines to overcome the wonky pen.
- Use gestures or sounds to encourage your team if allowed.
- Have fun with the mistakes—some of the funniest moments come from wonky drawings!
