Zombie Chickens is a quirky, fast-paced card game where players battle against each other to protect their chickens from becoming zombies! Players must carefully manage their resources and fend off zombie attacks while using clever strategies to outwit their opponents. How to Play Zombie Chickens


Objective

The goal is to be the last player standing by avoiding zombie chickens and strategically using your cards.

Setup

  • Shuffle the Deck:Shuffle all the cards together to form the draw pile.
  • Deal Cards:Each player starts with 5 cards from the draw pile.
  • Designate a Discard Pile:Create a space for a discard pile next to the draw pile.

Gameplay

  1. Turn Sequence:
    • Players take turns in a clockwise order.
    • On your turn, you can perform one of the following actions:
      • Play an Action Card: Play an action card from your hand and follow its instructions.
      • Discard and Draw: Discard any number of cards from your hand and draw the same number of cards from the draw pile.
      • End Turn: Draw a card from the draw pile and end your turn.
  2. Zombie Chicken Cards:
    • When you draw a Zombie Chicken card, you must place it face-up in front of you.
    • If you collect three Zombie Chicken cards, you are out of the game.
  3. Action Cards:
    • Attack: Send a Zombie Chicken card from your hand to another player.
    • Defend: Use a card to block an incoming Zombie Chicken card or attack.
    • Heal: Remove one Zombie Chicken card from in front of you.
    • Draw Two: Draw two extra cards from the draw pile.
    • Skip Turn: Skip your next turn.
  4. Survivor Cards:
    • Survivor cards can have special abilities or effects that can be used strategically.
    • Examples include:
      • Escape: Discard a Zombie Chicken card from in front of you.
      • Rescue: Choose another player to discard one Zombie Chicken card.

Winning the Game

  • The game continues until only one player remains who has not collected three Zombie Chicken cards.

Notes/Variations

  • Card Limit: Players cannot hold more than 7 cards in their hand at any time. If you exceed this limit, discard down to 7 cards at the end of your turn.
  • Zombie Chicken Attacks: When playing an attack card, choose a target player who must draw a Zombie Chicken card from the draw pile.
  • Combining Cards: Some action cards can be combined for stronger effects. For example, combining two “Attack” cards can result in sending two Zombie Chickens to another player.
