Monkey in the Middle is a classic playground game where two players toss a ball back and forth while a third player, the “monkey,” tries to intercept it. If the monkey catches the ball, they switch places with the player who threw it last. The game helps improve reflexes, coordination, and teamwork while providing endless fun. Objective: 

To avoid being the person in the middle.

How to Play:

  1. Form a Circle: Three or more players form a circle.
  2. Choose the Monkey: One player is chosen to be the “monkey” and stands in the middle of the circle.
  3. Passing the Ball: The players on the outside of the circle pass a ball to each other, trying to prevent the monkey from intercepting it.
  4. Catching the Ball: If the monkey catches the ball, the player who threw the ball becomes the new monkey.
  5. Variations: The game can be played with different objects, such as a beanbag or a frisbee.

Tips:

  • Communicate with your partner to anticipate their passes.
  • Vary the speed and direction of your passes.
  • Stay alert and ready to react.
