How to Play Throw Throw Burrito

Objective

Be the player with the most points at the end of two rounds by collecting matching card sets while avoiding burrito penalties.

Setup

1. Give each player a hand of 5 cards to start.
2. Shuffle the deck and split it into two equal draw piles in the center.
3. Place the two foam burritos within reach of all players.
4. Clear space for dodging burritos—you’ll need room to move!

Gameplay

Players take turns simultaneously (there are no official turns in this game). Here’s how it works:

1. Draw & Discard: Players continuously draw one card from their right pile and discard one card to their left. The goal is to collect three-of-a-kind sets.
2. Match Sets for Points:
   • When you get three matching cards, place them in front of you for points.
   • Some sets contain Burrito Battle cards—these trigger burrito fights!
3. Burrito Battles Begin! If a player plays one of these sets, a burrito showdown starts:
   • Burrito Brawl: The two players to your left and right grab and throw burritos at each other. First to get hit loses.
   • Burrito War: Everyone except the player who triggered it must grab and throw burritos at each other. First two players hit lose.
   • Burrito Duel: The player who triggered it picks two opponents. They stand back-to-back, take three paces, turn, and throw!
4. Burrito Penalties: If you get hit, you take a Burrito Bruise token, which counts as negative points.

Scoring & Winning

• At the end of Round 1, count points (gained from card sets, lost from Burrito Bruises).
• Reset the game and play Round 2.
• The player with the most points after both rounds wins!

• Extreme Mode: Use extra burritos for more chaos.
• Team Play: Partner up and strategize together.
• Sudden Death Round: If there’s a tie, the tied players duel to determine the winner!
