Last Updated on February 20, 2025 by The Official Game Rules Team

Red Rover is an exciting outdoor game that involves two teams, each standing in a line, holding hands. One team calls a player from the other team to run and try to break through their hands. If the player breaks through, they get to take someone back to their team. If they don’t break through, they’re out. The game continues until one team captures all the players or breaks through all the lines. Red Rover is a fun, active game that encourages teamwork and strength!
