How to Play Grizzly Gears
Game Objective
The goal of Grizzly Gears is to move all shown characters to their correct ending locations by rotating the interconnected tree gears on the board.
Setup
- Choose one challenge from the challenge booklet.
- Place the nine circular tree pieces onto the game board exactly as shown in the selected challenge.
- Each piece must match both the correct position and orientation.
- Insert the loose human and/or animal characters into the openings between the circular pieces as indicated in the challenge.
- Any characters not shown in the selected challenge are not used and should be set aside.
Gameplay
- Characters move only when you rotate the circular tree pieces.
- Rotating one piece may cause other connected pieces to turn as well, moving multiple characters at once.
- Continue rotating pieces until all required characters reach their designated end positions.
Winning the Challenge
You have successfully solved the challenge when all characters shown in the challenge are simultaneously placed in their correct end positions.
- Some challenges have multiple solutions.
- The shortest possible solution for each challenge is shown at the back of the challenge booklet.
Notes
- Characters must all be in their correct positions at the same time for the solution to count.
- Only the characters displayed in the chosen challenge are relevant.
