  • Quick-start instructions
  • 6 suction cup Popdarts (2 colors for 2 teams)
  • 1 orange Target Marker
  • Travel bag with built-in measuring strip

Setup

  1. Find a smooth, flat surface (like glass, tile, polished wood, or a countertop). Avoid rough or porous surfaces.
  2. Stick the Target Marker to the surface.
  3. Use the measuring strip (about 10 feet or 3 meters) to set a fair throwing distance. Adjust for kids or beginners.

Objective

Be the first team or player to reach 21 points by landing your darts closest to the target and sticking them to the surface.

Basic Rules

1. Game Start
  • Each player or team takes turns throwing 3 Popdarts per round.
  • One team throws all their darts, then the next team throws theirs.
2. Scoring
  • Only one team scores per round (cancellation scoring).
  • Closest dart to the Target Marker: 3 points.
  • Any other darts that stick: 1 point each.
  • Subtract the lower team’s points from the higher team’s points to get the score for the round.
  • First team to exactly 21 points wins. If a team goes over 21, their score drops back to 15.

Throwing Tips

  • Hold the dart by its body, not the suction cup.
  • Use a smooth, controlled flick of the wrist.
  • Aim slightly downward to reduce bounce and improve sticking.
  • Avoid spinning or over-flicking the dart.

Additional Rules

  • If two darts are equally close to the Target Marker, the one thrown earlier is counted as closer.
  • Darts must remain stuck to the surface when scoring is counted.
  • If all three of one team’s darts stick and the other team misses all, that’s called a “Popdarts Shutdown.”
  • For advanced play, use trick shots or obstacles.
