How to Qwixx

Objective

In Qwixx, players roll dice and mark numbers on their score sheet to earn points. The goal is to cross off as many numbers as possible while avoiding missed rolls (penalties). The player with the highest score at the end wins.

Setup

• Each player gets a score sheet with four colored rows (red, yellow, green, and blue).
• The active player rolls six dice—two white and four colored (matching the score sheet).

Gameplay

1. Everyone Plays: After rolling, all players can add the sum of the two white dice to any unlocked number in any row.
2. Active Player’s Choice: The active player may also combine one white die with one colored die to mark off a number in the matching row.
3. Left-to-Right Rule: Numbers in a row must be crossed off from left to right. Once you skip a number, you cannot go back.
4. Locking a Row: If a player marks at least five numbers in a row and reaches the last number, they can “lock” it. The matching color die is then removed from the game.
5. Missed Rolls: If the active player cannot mark any numbers, they must take a penalty (-5 points).

Game End & Scoring

• The game ends when two rows are locked or when a player reaches four penalties.
• Players score points based on how many numbers they have marked in each row. The more numbers, the higher the points.
• The player with the most points wins!
