Zingo! takes the classic game of bingo and gives it a fun, fast-paced twist that younger players love. Instead of numbers, players match colorful picture tiles to spaces on their cards while racing against each other to spot matching images first.

Components

Depending on the edition, Zingo! includes:

  • Zingo! Picture Cards
  • Picture Tiles
  • Zingo! Zinger Tile Dispenser

Object of the Game

Be the first player to fill every space on your Zingo! card with matching picture tiles.

Once your card is completely filled, shout “Zingo!” to win the game.


Setup

Before starting, prepare the cards and tile dispenser.

Choose a Dealer

Select one player to operate the Zingo! Zinger.

The dealer’s responsibilities include:

  • Sliding the Zinger
  • Revealing tiles
  • Handing out matching tiles
  • Settling any disputes

You may keep the same dealer all game or rotate the role between rounds.

Choose a Difficulty Level

Each Zingo! card has two sides:

Green Side

Red Side

The Red side is more competitive.

Prepare the Zinger

Give each player one picture card.

You’re now ready to play.


Gameplay

The dealer starts each round by sliding the Zingo! Zinger forward and backward.

This reveals two picture tiles.

As soon as the tiles appear, all players look at their cards.

Claiming a Tile

If one of the revealed pictures appears on your card:

  1. Say the name of the picture out loud.
  2. The dealer checks your card.
  3. If the picture matches, the dealer gives you the tile.
  4. Place the tile on the matching space.

Play then continues with the next reveal.

Example

Suppose the Zinger reveals:

  • A dog
  • A kite

If your card contains a picture of a dog, quickly say “Dog!”

If you’re correct, you receive the dog tile and place it on the matching space.

If another player also has a dog on their card, you’ll need to be faster than they are.


Important Rules

Be Quick

Several players may need the same tile.

The first player to correctly call out the picture gets the tile.

No Grabbing

Players are not allowed to grab tiles themselves.

Only the dealer distributes tiles.

Call Out the Picture

You must say the picture’s name to claim it.

Simply pointing at the card isn’t enough.

Dealer Settles Ties

If two players appear to call out the same picture at nearly the same time, the dealer decides:

  • Who was first
  • Or whether the call was effectively a tie

The dealer’s decision is final.


Winning the Game

Continue revealing tiles and covering spaces on your card.

As soon as one player fills every space on their Zingo! card, they immediately shout:

“Zingo!”

That player wins the game.
